Niels Krabbe audio collection now in the Macaulay Library

By Macaulay Library Team

We are very pleased to announce that renowned Danish ornithologist Niels Krabbe recently archived a high-resolution copy of his audio collection at the Macaulay Library. Krabbe is perhaps best known for his extensive fieldwork in South America, especially with Scytalopus tapaculos, but he also has significant numbers of audio recordings from the Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, and his native Scandinavia. In all, he has contributed 9,529 recordings to ML, representing nearly 1,800 species from 19 different countries. Thank you, Niels, for these contributions and your long-term commitment to the Macaulay Library. Take a listen to his collection.
